Working to end sexual violence and improve health outcomes through education.
Our Mission
Allies for Healing is a community-based 501(c)(3) organization that provides sexual health and wellness education for vulnerable and marginalized youth. We are dedicated to preventing sexual violence and trafficking in the sex industry through education, advocacy, and community partnerships that center on racial, gender, and sexual justice. We provide sexual health workshops, training on trauma-informed and healing-centered care, and holistic resources for sexual assault and human trafficking survivors.
Our Vision
To create a world free from sexual violence and exploitation, where every individual feels empowered in their body and identity, and engages with others in safe, healing, and affirming ways that center joy and pleasure.
Our Values
-
We practice non-judgment and non-violent communication and action. We do not prescribe one way of living in this world, instead we meet individuals where they are and provide education, support, and harm-reduction programs to aid in their liberation from oppressive structures and violent systems.
-
We integrate sex-positive frameworks into our projects and practices. We develop projects from a pleasure-centric perspective because we believe that consensual pleasure is key to the prevention of violence.
-
We support the pillars of reproductive justice: the right to have children, the right to not have children, and the right to parent those children in safe and sustainable communities. This includes our firm support for abortion rights, access to high-quality and affirming healthcare, and access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health education throughout the lifespan.
-
We believe that all humans are deserving of respect, support, and care regardless of who they love or how they may identify. We understand that gender identity and sexual orientation are essential aspects of discovering our true selves. We advocate for policies and laws that are LGBTQ+ progressive and are committed to providing non-discriminatory mental health and educational services which focus on the specific needs of the LGBTQ+ community.
